<IoT based pump developed by GreenTech. The researcher is looking at the camera.>

Green Tech (CEO Lee Jung-gon), a specialist pump company, recently developed the world's first IoT-based pump that incorporates various sensors and cameras in a pump. We will challenge direct export for the first overseas this year.

A pump is a mechanism that uses pressure to move fluid through a tube. Range of pump types very various from small pumps which move chemicals to large pumps such as IT manufacturing, water and sewage systems, farms, and generators. The domestic pump market is estimated at 1.5 trillion won but the global market is estimated to be over 50 trillion won.

The pumps GREEN TECH produces are more than 60 types, including single-stage volute pumps, double-suction volute pumps, screw centrifugal pumps, underwater drainage pumps, and horizontal vortex pumps. Designed and manufactured according to the customer's order from 50mm to 2000mm diameter, it is supplied to the manufacturing line of business, power plant, pumping water, water intake pump, rainwater pumping station.

The picture of industrial endoscope camera mounted on the pump transferred the internal image of the pump to the monitor.

IoT-based pumps (direct-coupled pumps with industrial endoscope cameras) are ICT convergence products that combine advanced IT with pumps. The camera and various sensors are installed inside the pump to monitor the operation status of the pump in real time and automatically detect when an error occurs and notify the operator of the pump.

The camera adopts a sapphire lens to withstand the high pressure conditions inside the operating pump. Durability testing has been completed to ensure that the pump does not malfunction under various temperature changes. If there is foreign matter in the pump and the bearing temperature is out of the normal value with built-in sensor, it informs the monitor through real-time abnormality.

This product was the first in the pump industry in Korea last year to obtain European CE certification and US patent. It is also recently applied for a new product certification (NEP) from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. Borescope-equipped pumps have recently been supplied to one farm in Jeju.

<Green Tech Company Overview>

This year, we expect to be able to export pumps directly to overseas markets. First, negotiation is proceeding exporting borescope-equipped pump with pump engineering company in Canada.

In the case of general pumps, we contracted MOU to supply water treatment pumps worth $ 4 million last year and are in concrete negotiations.

Since last year, we has been negotiating with the Vietnam government to supply mud pumps and drain pumps. We expect to be able to supply related products within this year.

Sales are also steadily rising. Last year, it sold 19 billion won in sales from 9 billion won in 2015. Domestic sales account for 95% of total sales. This year, it expects to reach 1 billion won in overseas exports. This year's sales target is 34 billion won.

There was continuous investment to R & D behind the growth. It has an in-house research department and invests 7% of its annual sales in R & D.

GREEN TECH are holding a kick-off meeting with the DaeKyung Enterprise Growth Support Center in 2017.

In 2008, we injected 1.5 billion won, half of the sales, to build the largest pump laboratory in Korea. Under the 40m long, 12m wide pump laboratory, 5800 tons of water can be stored and tested in the same environment as the actual site. By the end of this year, 10 billion won will be invested to build a new plant in Daegu Water Industrial Cluster.

Lee Jeong-gon, President of Green Tech, said, "Since last year, we have completed our long-term vision and growth roadmap through consulting with Daekyung Corporation's Corporate Growth Support Center. We will grow as a global pump company that is recognized overseas through steady R & D. "
